Brainstorm Your Website Ideas

Website Objective

First and foremost this is the goal of your site. Are you looking to gain name recognition? Simply provide information? Bring individuals into your offices? Enhance your existing image?

Your Audience

Who do you anticipate viewing your website? The general public, clients, consumers? What might these users be looking for? Try and design your site with these folks in mind.

Research Similar Sites

Are there elements of other websites that you like, or even dislike, that offer similar services? Make a note of these different elements. The features, content, etc. It'll give you an advantage, seeing what's already out there on the web.

Gather Materials

Prepare the content you already have in flyers, brochures, newsletters, and so forth. Any photos or graphics you have for logos, products, staff, etc. that you would like on your website should also be gathered.

Develop Your Approach

What are you looking to highlight about your business or services? How are you different or unique? What makes you competitive? Perhaps begin by listing a small number of frequently asked questions, and highlight these answers on your main page. Or write a few short paragraphs that explain your services or the benefits that come to individuals who choose to do business with you.
